The PCKB Story

Just like every other Cal Poly graduate Brian and Kathy Metcalf wanted to stay in San Luis Obispo after graduation. San Luis Obispo is a wonderful place to live , raise a family and the people of the region are special. But as the saying goes “good things come to those who wait”. Upon graduation in 1978, Brian and Kathy reluctantly moved back to southern California to learn their respective trades and start a family. Brian, joining with his family in a start-up upscale bath and kitchen showroom and Kathy diving into her career as a passionate elementary school teacher.

Fast forward to 1990, the Metcalf’s now with two young children move back to the Central Coast, Kathy landing her dream job at Branch Elementary School in Arroyo Grande and Brian opens Pacific Coast Kitchen & Bath in San Luis Obispo.

Pacific Coast Kitchen & Bath was founded on the concept of bringing upscale, quality bath and kitchen plumbing fixtures to the people of the Central Coast, with an emphasis on helpful personal customer service and a solid base of product knowledge. The world of kitchens and baths is ever changing and evolving with exciting new products that are relevant to our lifestyles and needs. PCKB endeavors to provide it’s clients with products and services that are water-saving, long lasting, a good value and a source of pride for the homeowner.

After 20 years in San Luis Obispo, Brian and his staff are proud to be members of the community and enjoy helping our clients with projects that range from a simple faucet replacement to entire houseful of fixtures and hardware for a new custom dream home.
